[aligntable=left,0,15,0,0,0]1.1 All journalists,broadcasters, show hosts, and members of SAN news teams must, to their fullest ability, investigate and gain solid information on a story before printing or publishing it under any SAN publications or broadcasts.

1.1.1 If the information investigated is not sufficient, the journalist, broadcaster, show host or staffer must either finish the investigation completely or drop the story entirely. SAN has an all-or-nothing policy regarding investigations.

1.2 Under no circumstances may a journalist or broadcaster/show host inject personal opinion, conjecture, or prejudice into any Informative broadcast or headline. This include political, religious, racial, and otherwise intolerant behavior on the air and on duty. See section 1.3.

1.2.1 Professional opinion may be injected if qualified in the field that the broadcast or publication pertains to.
1.2.1 Political broadcasts, without exception, should not have any injection of opinion by any broadcaster or journalist/show host under any circumstances regardless of expertise.

1.3 All journalists and broadcasters must remain politically independent and unbiased when on duty.

1.3.1 Under no circumstances are finances to be accepted from any political or governmental organization to any individual journalist/show host.
1.3.2 Governmental Stipends may be given through the SAN Legal Department only.
1.3.3 Under no circumstances are SAN journalists or broadcasters/show host allowed to hold a position as a media figure whilst holding or campaigning to hold office.

1.4 Decency Standards must be adhered to by journalists and broadcasters/show host during any official network operation.

1.4.1 If an entertainment broadcast or opinion show is to include sexual or violent undertones, there must be a disclaimer at the beginning of the show and after commercial breaks to inform them of the show Rating and the specific undertones the show might include.
1.4.2 If an informative broadcast or program is to include sexual or violent undertones, they are exempt from holding a disclaimer but all references of them must be handled in a mature and appropriately termed manner.

1.5 Under no circumstances are Informative Publications including but not limited to broadcasts or print publications to be swayed in any manner by corporate sponsors.

1.5.1 Under no circumstances does the financial transaction of a corporation or business sponsoring SAN programming provide any "immunity to" or favoritism towards in the broadcasting thereof.
1.5.2 Under no circumstances are finances or gifts to be accepted from any corporate figurehead, public figure, individual to any individual journalist/show host with the intent to sway broadcasts regarding the individual.

1.6 All sponsors must be verified by the local registry as valid, if invalid their sponsorship must be pulled. If registration is needed, the LSPD or the City Government may be contacted to verify licensing credentials.

1.6.1 Lying about sponsors will lead to a warning.

1.7 Governmental agencies may provide sponsorship, but should not and will not be swaying the content of the broadcast or publication they provender sponsorship to.

1.7.1 Lying about sponsors will lead to a warning.

1.8 Under no circumstances may political campaigns provide sponsorship to any publication or broadcast program of SAN. Unless they are made explicitly aware that their donation regardless of amount will not sway broadcasts or publications in their favor.

1.8.1 If you host a show with knowledge that these actions have been conducted, it will result in the termination of the your contract.

1.9 When on duty, all employees are expected to act civil, unobtrusive to any scene, and are expected to report but not create news.

1.9.1 Employees are to comply with all laws and can be expelled if severe criminal activity is being undertaken.
1.9.2 SAN may at any time review the employment of any employee who is either charged or ticketed for any offense considered to be a misdemeanor.
1.9.3 Employees forfeit their position when they violate the terms of this Code of Ethics and are expected to represent SAN as lawful and ethical as the terms outline.
1.9.4 Under no circumstances are SAN employees to willingly incite riots, protests or organize other demonstrations nor may any SAN employee use any company equipment or funding to promote or organize such events,
1.9.5 Employees may and are encouraged to promote fundraisers for charitable organizations given that the SAN Legal Department is notified for the tax write off.
1.9.6 Employees may hold and promote SAN events if given permission to by a Network Executive.

1.10 Employees may lawfully own a gun license and a firearm under the laws and regulations of Los Santos.

1.10.1 Employees of SAN may at no time carry, procure, purchase, or use firearms on duty. The only exception to this is a story/headline where shooting is the subject and the reporter takes place in the legal hunting, target shooting, sporting clays or otherwise associated legal activities.

1.11 Under no circumstances are journalists or broadcasters, show hosts or staffers allowed to mislead, lie, or willingly deceive the public in any official broadcast or publication. Any breaches to this regulation will be investigated and legal action may be taken.

1.11.1 This may result in the termination of the individuals contract, depending on the severity.
((1.11.2 This includes being paid any OOC sum of money/items to include vehicles, drugs, weaponry with the intention to cause the server disrepute or break any server rules.))

1.12 Journalists and Broadcasters, Show Hosts and staffers are to uphold and adhere to the deadlines imposed to the best of their ability.

1.12.1 Exemptions to this may include illness or deaths in the family.

1.13 Under no circumstances are SAN Employees permitted to willfully supersede or ignore direct regulations imposed by members of the San Andreas Network in higher standing.

1.13.1 If a personal discrepancy prevents the execution of a task then it can be placed under review and possibly excused by Network Executives +
1.13.2 Any flagrant disregard for the regulations imposed will result in and is not limited to suspension, legal action, fines, expulsion, etc.[/aligntable]

2.1.1 Employees of the San Andreas Network must wear jeans or chino-style trousers,preferably black/grey/navy blue/khaki, and a collared top of their own choice. For employee's should use their discretion in what torso clothing they chose, however it must be comfortable and formal. When the San Andreas Network hosts social events, employees must wear formal clothing. 

2.2 Grooming, Hairstyles and Tattoos

2.2.1 Male employees must keep their general hair styles formal and professional. If having facial hair, it is mandatory for it to be trimmed and kept neatly, especially on air. Loud hair colors and loud facial hair styles is prohibited. Also, if you have sideburns, they must be trimmed and kept neat. Piercings anywhere but the ears and nose are also prohibited, the same applied for stretchers.

2.2.2 Female employees must keep accessories to a minimum, this includes: long ear rings, colorful hair bands, fake eyelashes and make-up. Hair must be kept to a moderate length, and must look neat and tidy. Finger nail paint cannot be too bold, and if caught, will be removed. Piercings anywhere but the ears and nose are also prohibited, the same applied for stretchers.

2.2.3 Tattoos are to be covered on air. Any tattoo regarding the face and hands will be removed at the employees own expense or face termination of contract.[/aligntable]

[aligntable=left,0,15,0,0,0]3.1 Smoking & Liquor Policy

3.1.1 Employees of the San Andreas Network are only allowed to smoke outside the premisses,and drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited whilst working.

3.2 Relationship Policy

3.2.1 Relationships between the San Andreas Network employees are permitted, provided that they do not interfere with the employee's work ability. It is strictly forbidden that intimacy whilst at work/on duty is shown. Relationships may not be conducted with anyone one rank higher or lower than you. ((Ie., Faction Rank))

3.3 Behaviour Policy

3.3.1 Having loads of shows on air and media outlets publicly spreading news (or whatever they're specializing in) the behaviour system is going to progress onto the warning system, which is located BELOW.

3.3.2 Foul behaviour will be accepted to a certain extent; nudity, racism, sexism, Nazism and fascism will not be tolerated. If you continue onto breaking this rule, then warnings will be handed out depending on the severity.
Show idleness is unacceptable and action will be taken if caught not broadcasting/not printing within two weeks.

3.4 Warning System

3.4.1 The warning system is going to be split up into two parts, media warnings and employee warnings. Only a Chief Executive Officer may hand out media warnings, however show hosts can make their own decision to whom in their show can give out an employee warning. Three media warnings will result in the show/media outlet being abolished from the San Andreas Network; employees of the abolished show/media outlet may sign up for another show/media outlet. Three employee warnings will result in the termination of the individuals contract, if the individual is a show host, then the show will be handed to the Chief Executive Officer whom will pass it onto whoever (s)he chooses.

4.1.1 The Chief Executive Officer is one of the two highest ranking Executive Officer in the San Andreas Network and is generally has full responsibility for the activities of the company,including strategy and day-to-day operations. There may only ever be one (1) CEO at a time.

4.1.2 Authority
[list]The Chief Executive Officer has the full authority to run the San Andreas Network as (s)He see's fit. The CEO can make generally any changes to the company, it's structure, organization and or it's full operations. The CEO has the authority to create and engage in legally binding contracts on the companies behalf.[/list]

4.2 President
4.2.1 The President is the second of the two highest ranking Executive positions within the San Andreas Network. The President generally shares in the same duties and responsibilities as that of the Chief Executive Officer, however the President may take a more proactive role in the day-to-day operations of the company.  There may only ever be one (1) President at a time.

4.2.2 Authority
[list]The President has the full authority to run the San Andreas Network as (s)he see's fit and may  generally make any changes to the company, it's structure, organization and or it's full operations with prior consultation of the Chief Executive Officer. The President has the authority to create and engage in legally binding contracts on the companies behalf.[/list]

4.3 Network Executive
4.3.1 The Network Executive is the third highest ranking position within the San Andreas Network. The Network Executive generally deals with the day-to-day operations of the San Andreas Network and reports directly to the CEO & President. The Network Executive often ensures that policy/procedure changes created by the CEO/President are relayed and put into place by the Corporate Management team of the San Andreas Network. There may be more than one (1) Network Executive concurrently. The Network Executive serves as the main point of contact between the Executive Management and Corporate Management team.

4.3.2 Authority
A Network Executive may:

[*]Make changes to the Policy/Procedure of the San Andreas Network with prior approval from the CEO and/or President.
[*]May fire anyone holding the rank of Editorial/Technical manager and below without prior authorization from the CEO and/or President.

[*]May make MINOR changes to departments, policy and procedure that do not adversely affect SAN without prior permission from the CEO and/or President.
[*]May Promote anyone to the rank of Senior Correspondent/Technical Administrator without prior approval from the CEO and/or President
[*]May issue official statement on behalf of the San Andreas Network
[*]May act as a public representative of the San Andreas Network
[*]May issue warnings/disciplinary/corrective action against ANY non-executive employee of SAN.

4.4 Director
4.4.1 The Director is one of the two highest ranking non-executive positions within SAN. Directors will generally have their own network show and/or head up an internal SAN department. Directors report directly to the Network Executive(s). Their main responsibility is to ensure that their respective show/department is running efficiently and that their staff follow all procedures/guidelines.

4.4.2 Authority
A Director may:

4.5 Managing Director
4.5.1 The Managing Director is one of the two highest ranking non-executive positions within SAN. The Managing Director is over the technical side of SAN as a whole. Managing Directors report directly to the Network Executive(s). Their main responsibility is to ensure that their respective department is running efficiently and that their staff follow all procedures/guidelines.

4.5.2 Authority
A Managing Director may:

4.6 Editorial Manager
4.6.1 The Editorial Manager is one of the two second highest Corporate Management positions. The Editorial Manager is generally the second-in-command, working directly under the Director of a department/show. Their job duties are often the same as that of the Director and will generally ensure the day-to-day operations of a show/department are ran smoothly.

4.6.2 Authority
An Editorial Director may:

A Senior Correspondent may:

4.8.1 The Technical Administrator is a position reserved for those wishing to progress into the management field. This position is one of the two highest non-management positions within SAN. The Technical Administrator often works directly for a network show/agency. This position reports directly to the Managing Director & Technical Manager.

4.9.2 Authority
A Technical Administrator may:

4.10.1 The reporter is tasked with reporting breaking news in and around Los Santos. The reporter also generally works for a network show, tasked with writing content and engaging in on-air broadcasts.

4.11  Technical Officer
4.11.1 The Technical Officer is a front-of-the-line position, responsible for assisting with technical aspects of a show/department.

4.13 Senior Technician

4.14  Intern
4.14.1 The Intern position is the first position on the journalism career path. This is purely a training phase. During the Intern phase, candidate will learn what it is like to work with SAN. At the end of the Intern phase, Interns will have to choose a show/department they wish to work with. Interns generally work on ALL of the shows hosted by SAN.

4.14.2 Authority
An Intern may:

4.15  Technician
4.15.1 The Technician position is the first position on the technical career path. This is purely a training phase. During the Technician phase, candidates will learn what it is like to work with SAN. At the end of the technical phase, Technician's will have to choose a show/department they wish to work with. Technician's generally work on ALL of the shows hosted by SAN.

4.15.2 Authority
A Technician may:

CONTRACTORS
Contractors are employees of various partner-media outlets that have signed production agreements and have been acquired by SAN. These contractors are not direct employees of SAN, but rather part of SAN's global network of media. Example: Newsflash corporation. These companies still adhere and abide by SAN policy and procedure and work directly out of SAN studios and have their offices located in SAN Tower, while not broadcasting as a direct SAN network. These companies have their own networks and shows aside from the SAN shows. These companies often pay royalties to SAN.

4.16  Company Executive
4.16.1 The Company executive is the main point of contact between the partner-media outlet. They report directly to the Network Executive(s). They, much like Director/Managing Director are tasked with ensuring SAN policy/procedure is followed and adhered to by their network shows and staff.

4.16.2 Authority
A Company Executive may:

4.17  Company Staff
4.17.1  The Company Staff are employees directly employed by SAN's partner-media outlets.

5.1.1 LS-RP rules come first.
5.1.2 Members of the faction must respect each other as they would want to be treated.
5.1.3 Do not use commands off duty or for reasons no directly related to broadcasting. A full list of commands can be found HERE.
5.1.4 Do not give out any information about SAN that you are granted access to. This includes, but is not limited to faction commands, faction information, rules, regulations, phone calls, emails, letters, or any other direct information that is seen/heard while part of SAN.[/aligntable][/size]
